Scavenger Skirmish: Item #10
Although it wasn’t in the written rules, I remember that while verbally discussing the details of the Scavenger Skirmish, it was mentioned and agreed upon that if any of the tasks were thrown into either combatant’s lap before the official starting date, it would be acceptable for said combatant to complete the task, and count it toward the competition.
Based on this stipulation, I would like to announce that Item #10 on my list has been successfully completed.
BAM.
Scavenger Skirmish
For our next competition (since Wardrobe Warfare has been abandoned), we have chosen a scavenger hunt.
Start date: May 15th
End date: November 13th
Rules:
- There will be no proof needed for this scavenger hunt. We will be going on pure honor.
- There are 28 items on the scavenger hunt list. There are two lists with varying items: one for Razz and one for Wiretap
- The items on the lists are to remain secret and will be referred to by number.
- One point will be rewarded for each item completed.
- Completing more than one item at a time multiplies the point value exponentially. i.e.: completing 4 at once means 16 points, 5 at once equals 25, and so forth.
- When a task is completed, a blog will be posted stating which number it was, when it was completed, and what the results were.
- If all 28 are completed before the ending date, 10 bonus points will be rewarded.
- Whoever has the most points on the ending dates wins.
Reward to be determined.
Explanation:
The starting date is Wiretap’s wedding day. Doing the scavenger hunt before then would be much too stressful for both the bride and Razz, one of her bridesmaids. The ending date is exactly a year after the rules were set out over a period of four and a half hours in a booth at Arctic Circle.
9-9 and 9-12 of 2008.
Here is what Wiretap wore on 9-9-08. The vest is hand knitted. But not by her – she thrifted it.
And here is what I wore the same day. I should have insisted on a better picture, but I was jittery.
And then here is todays outfit, sans shoes, antiqued to make my living room look less messy. The vest was buttoned most of the day. Also, I’m not wearing an undershirt. I’m just that pale.
Wiretap and Razz work together.
I’m expecting Razz to post the pictures from today, both of her and me. We met on campus and she took photos of what we were wearing. Probably got sick of my lack of a camera.
Anyway, not that it matters, but yesterday I wore a Snoopy/Woodstock (from the cartoon Peanuts) t-shirt with a black cardigan over it and jeans. Everything is jeans.
Also: I have now met a few people who actually read this blog, and am now self-conscious. Forgive me.
We need ideas for other competitions, since this one is fairly boring. Anyone? Razz? Anyone?
Love, Wiretap.
Angry words. Bad words. hmmmph.
Someone buy me a camera, because my phone is completely out of memory. So, until I acquire some other form of taking pictures and posting them on here, you’re going to have to be satisfied with descriptions of outfits.
When we last saw Wiretap, she had just worn a terrible outfit, on the third of September.
September 4th–A white t-shirt with a beige vest over it, and denim shorts. Fortunately, I did go to the photo booth this day, so pictures may be up soon? Doubt it.
September 5th–A brown and black striped sweater that I bought at D.I. with jeans.
September 6th–I was sick all day, so I was in pajamas. But I did leave the house in basketball shorts and a baseball tee to go get my glasses.
September 7th–Left the house once. (again, sick) Black wifebeater, red sweater, denim shorts. Boring, I know.
Dear Razz/readers (if there are any),
I apologize for the boring-ness of my posts. Tell me how I can make it up to you. Also, Razz, I love your outfits. Remember when Aladdin (ten points if you remember who he is!) said the whole reason he went to class was to see what you were wearing that day?
Love, Wiretap.
September 3rd. Bam.
September 2nd, all I wore was work clothes. So I didn’t need to post that, right?
Anyway, yesterday, I wore a black shirt with a blue tank top over it. I completely forgot to take a picture of it, and now it’s in the washer, but if you look at my Facebook profile picture, that’s what I was wearing yesterday. Minus the basketball shorts, plus jeans.
Today’s post to come! I can take my time with this one, too, because it’s my birfday.
